Better Heart Health
Making our hearts work better is an ongoing passion.
This is an image of a minimally invasive off-pump bypass procedure. We first started using this approach in the mid-2000s to facilitate quicker recovery & optimal improvement of blood flow to the main artery running down the front of the heart - the L.A.D using the LIMA (left internal mammary artery) as the bypass graft. Some 300 odd procedures later in multiple continents, this still a great procedure for a limited group of patients needing bypass surgery to one main artery on the heart. The LIMA to LAD bypass is the one procedure that we perform that has shown to prolong life & improve survival!
